The Gandel Institute for Adult Jewish Learning, established by the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, a project of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, offers study groups in Israel where adults can learn about Jewish culture.  The staff of the Gandel Institute invites you to join one of these groups, close to your home, for weekly group learning sessions.

The Vision: Through weekly study, to provide each participant the foundations of the different aspects of Jewish culture, from the Bible and Talmudic literature, to Jewish Poetry and Thought, Jewish way of life through the generations, to modern day Jewish culture.

We offer an innovative sequential curriculum and outstanding facilitators to interested adults in the following regions: Northern settlements, Carmiel and the Misgav area, Haifa and the surrounding areas, Afula, Beit Shean, Hadera, Emek Hefer and Modi'in.  It is our intention to widen the circle of learners and open new groups in additional sites throughout Israel.

The Gandel Institute is the Israeli branch of the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School which operates in Jewish communities throughout the world, with over 60 centers in the US, Canada, England, Australia and South Africa.  Participants in the Gandel Institute will benefit from contact with their counterparts in Jewish communities abroad, all learning Jewish culture through the same method and a curriculum developed at the Melton Centre for Jewish Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
